Christopher Poulos watched Barak Obama get elected President from a TV room inside a federal prison in Pennsylvania. Today, at 33, he's an intern in the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. It's been quite a journey for this once homeless teen in Portland.

Christopher is coming out about his story, and his second chance. He was once a homeless teenager in Portland, and got into drugs and alcohol.

His story, his determination and his life are inspiring. He is my new hero.

Christopher's story is extraordinary, but his recovery is not unique. There are many, many people in recovery. There is a movement to have them come out to encourage others.

They compare it to the movement when those dealing with HIV came out. It changed the face and the fight for AIDS.
