According to the online dating app Zoosk, they received a 48% rise in membership registrations and a 28% surge in messages sent through their servers during the recent cold snap. What city in the U.S. saw the biggest surge in messages sent? Portland, Maine baby! Mainer's don't want to be in the cold alone.

Online dating registrations and messages in Portland even beat out cold places like Chicago, Boston and Minneapolis.
