All eighth-graders and staff at Camden Rockport middle school have been quarantined because there's been a positive case student at that school, according to WABI Channel 5.

We knew that with kids going back to school in person, it was only a matter of time before we had a positive case in Maine, and here we have it.

The new station reported all eighth-grade students have to quarantine at home and take part in remote learning until October 8th.

"This is a single case," Deb McIntyre, the Assistant Superintendent of MSAD 28, tells WABI, "Because of our safety protocols in place, we are hopeful that there will not be secondary cases."

This revelation comes as Oxford County is now moving into the yellow, and York County remains yellow. Schools and states across the country are dealing with this very same as then as we continue to argue whether schools should be in person or hybrid learning for the rest of the year as we continue to battle this pandemic. What are your thoughts?
