Sanford has had several coronavirus outbreaks. Since Sanford isn't listening to adults, maybe they will listen to kids.

Sanford High School students, with the help of Brett Williams, released a video this week calling on their neighbors to please wear a mask and keep 6 feet apart. The video has kids who can't do what they love, because Sanford has been designated a 'yellow' school zone. That means 'red' for sports.

The kids aren't able to do what they love, or even practice until they get back to green. And only people in the community can make that happen! Kids who are athletes, thespians and musicians who are all just trying to make it through school as safely as possible. But they can't, because people won't wear their masks and stay away from each other!

Sanford is trying. Last week, the City Council passed an emergency ordiance to urge everyone to wear face masks and keep 6 feet of apart from one another. If you don't, you could be looking at a 100 dollar fine and businesses could lose their license.

If you won't do it for yourself, do it for these kids who are just trying to get through the year....
