10 baby ducklings born on a the rooftop of a mill in Biddeford made it to the Saco River with some human help and a bucket.

The little guys were born Tuesday night. The mama duck laid her eggs in a garden planter according to the mills owner Doug Sanford.

They did their best to protect the little guys with a make shift fence, and solicited the help of a game warden who said he'd help get them in the water.

Wouldn't you know it, they were born on his day off. So Doug grabbed a bucket, scooped up the little guys and well - the rest is history.

By the way, nice job Doug - that looked scary!
