Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty 2 Hotty has been a WWE icon for decades. According to WWE, he started his career with them at the young age of 16 in 1991 as an extra before working his way to a contract in 1997 primed for the Attitude Era. He solidified his home on our TVs as one half of Too Cool and his iconic move, The Worm. While a great entertainer for years Scotty 2 Hotty was loved by Mainers for another reason. Scotty 2 Hotty, or Scott Garland, is one of us as he was born in Westbrook.

While now a Florida resident he always shows his home state love. I’ll never forget in 2005 going to a house show at the Colisee in Lewiston. I was 15-years-old and ironically won the tickets to the show from a radio contest. Our seats were close to where the superstars entered the arena and Scotty gave me a high-five.

On November 23rd of 2021, Scotty announced his departure from WWE. In recent years he had been working with WWE NXT. In his Instagram post, he said that he approached WWE asking to be released. He said,

I always promised myself that I would never be part of something solely for the paycheck and that was where I was at.

While a heartbreaking announcement for many fans, this also opened up doors for Scotty to do new things. One of those is a Maine homecoming.

Limitless Wrestling

Randy Carver is the force behind Limitless Wrestling. While many kids grew up wanting to be a WWE Superstar, Carver wanted to be the brains and promoter behind it all according to News Center Maine.

Limitless Wrestling has amassed a huge following from Facebook and Instagram to YouTube, always a packed house during live shows, and now even a series on PlutoTV.

Recently announced for February 26th at Yarmouth AmVets at 148 North Road in Yarmouth, Scotty 2 Hotty is making his Limitless debut for the 2 Hot To Handle show.
