Money Magazine has released its 2017 list of the Best Place To Live and South Portland, Maine made the top 100, just barely.

Money measured the economy, cost of living, education, housing affordability, crime rate, amenities and ease of living in cities across the country to come up with their list. It goes deeper than that though and you can read their methodology on their site.

South Portland came in at number 100 on the top 100 Best Places to Live. Money cites stats such as median home price of $250K, projected job growth of 4.6%, 87% graduation rate and 200 clear days per year as reasons it made the list.

No other city or town in Maine made the list but other New England cities did:

13. Waltham, MA
26. Newton, MA
57. Nasuha, NH
73. Weymouth Town, MA
78. Norwood, MA
82. Salem, NH
86. Colchester, VT

The best place to live, sitting at number 1, is Fisher, Indiana.
