News broke today that the City of Bangor has decided to rename Columbus Day "Indigenous Peoples' Day," and there seem to be wicked strong opinions on both sides of this issue.

For 80 years, Columbus Day has been a federal holiday in the United States recognizing the arrival of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Americas. This year however, Bangor will not be recognizing it as Columbus Day.
