Flash Flood

It was bound to happen sooner or later with all the rain we've had in this poor excuse for a summer, but I don't think anyone expected flooding in Auburn like this.

Keep your car on dry land this weekend...

The storms we had on July 1 that created heavy rain, thunderstorms and even tornadoes in Western Maine put us underwater at Keoka Beach Campground and washed out all the road out of the campground.

The Maine DOT has published this interactive map of current road closures and other conditions.

We get flash flood warnings here in Maine a lot when we have some significant heavy rains, but I don't think we've ever seen the affects of a flash flood like this.
