Has anybody else noticed the lack of a fairy village on Mackworth Island near Freeport, Maine?

Despite its small stature, National Geographic proclaims that one island in Maine is worth every minute you can spend on it

Did anybody else notice the lack of fairy houses in the woods of Mackworth Island this year?! Typically there's at least a few built and tucked back in there, but lately I haven't been able to find even one.

You never know what magical places are hiding in the nooks and crannies of your state and Mackworth is one of those hidden gems.

No matter what's got you down, these spots just a quick walk or drive from downtown Portland will heal your worries and calm your mind.

I can't decide if it's creepy or sweet, but as a dog lover I kind of like that Gov. Baxter protected the final resting place of his pets.
