This Saturday, Longley Square in downtown Norway will be full of local food, beer and music for the Foothills Food Festival. The festival is a celebration of Western Maine's agriculture and includes locally grown foods, food trucks, a beer garden with Maine brews, seminars, family events and live music.

The event is sponsored by the Center of Ecology Based Economy which is working to redefine the Oxford Hills area since the many mills and manufacturing that were the base of the regions economy shut down.

The downtown area of Norway used to be the shopping district years ago like in so many small Maine towns. Now the downtown has been revitalized with new local businesses, a farmer's market and festivals like this one.
