But they are determined to rebuild this iconic and beloved gift shop and restaurant.

The Seagull Shop and Restaurant has been around since 1937. Recently a fire devasted this tradition for so many. The loyal customers are doing all they can to help them raise the money to rebuild and continue to pay their staff through the end of the season.

The Seagull Gift Shop and Restaurant is located where the land of the Pemaquid Pennisula ends, just 14 scenic miles south of Damariscotta. They've got a pretty cool front yard of the rugged, beautiful, rocky Maine coast. Their next-door neighbor is one of the most photographed spots in the world, the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. Even Mainers walk away from the Gift Shop with a souvenir or nautical something. There are so many cool things from Maine artisans.

They have started a GoFundMe page to help with the cost of rebuilding. According to the Lincoln County News, the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated and declared the fire “accidental” and the cause “undetermined”. There were apparently reports of fireworks in the area at the time (September 9th), but they don't know if this had anything to do with the fire.

If you have ever been here, please help them rebuild...
