There’s A New Poke Restaurant Coming To Portland
The newest food trend sweeping the nation is called poké and soon Portland will have a new restaurant specializing in the tasty raw fish.
In Hawaiian, poké, pronounced POH-keh, means to slice or cut chunks of raw, marinated fish like tuna and serve over rice. A lot like sushi.
The poké is traditionally served with vegetables and sauces.
Portland should have it's own poké restaurant by September. According to their Facebook page, Crunchy Poké is currently in the process of getting a permit to begin remodeling their new location at 426 Fore Street which used to house East End Cupcakes.
