There’s a Pickle Festival Held in Pittsburgh Appropriately Called ‘Picklesburgh’
Before we begin, please...get your mind out of the gutter. All set? Good.
If you have any sort of event in Pittsburgh, you have have to get punny with the title. I played in a pinball tournament called Pinburgh while my girlfriend Michele went to a pickle festival called Picklesburgh. Clever huh?
For the third year, the Roberto Clemente Bridge in downtown Pittsburgh gets shut down and the pickles take over. Everything you never knew you wanted in a pickle is there, plus it's a good excuse to enjoy music and adult beverages on a bridge over the Allegheny River.
There's pickle bags...
Pickle cocktails...
Pickled garlic, mustard and beans...
Pickles and grilled cheese sandwiches...
Bacon wrapped pickles...
Fried pickles...
Pickle pins...
Pickled lemonade, pickled salad and pickles on a stick...
And perhaps the best pickle concoction ever...pickle moonshine!
