5 Things You Should Know About Krissy, Host of Maine’s New Morning Show on Q97.9
I'm Krissy, your new morning show host on the legendary station, Q97.9!
I've always been a fan of a good list, so I'm going to quite literally list 5 things that are super important to my life that make me, me. The rest you can learn with time as we grow together.
Krissy in the Morning on Q97.9
1. I'm A HUGE adventurer
It's the long hikes with my best friends and our dogs that make the happiest. I drive a big lifted Jeep Wrangler, and I'd say the doors are off more often than on. I might like to do my hair but don't be fooled by the amount of mud I'm willing to get in it.
Also, don't get me wrong, sometimes I call a drive to get ice cream an adventure, and that's just how it should be.
Please never apologize if your dog jumps up on me. In fact, I'd like to thank him/her for choosing me.
I've got the most ignorantly fluffy, 100-pound golden doodle at home named Maverick, and he keeps me super humbled when he decides to eat my shoes. Still would die for him though.
3. Shopping for mental health
It's a thing. This might sound like an excuse, and maybe it is, but wow does a good TJMAXX trip cure any problem going on in my life. If you catch me saying I'm taking a mental health lap to Marshalls or homegoods, mind your business.
4. Family & Friends
I'm lucky enough to have made some lifelong friends that turned into family here in Portland since I moved here years ago, and for that, I'll always love this city. I'd rather have a game night on my living room floor with my humans than go out to a bar/club any day. Though, I do love a good dive, but a real dive, not a fake one. Like a dive I can write my name on a dollar and it's fine.
5. Bootcamp Fitness
This may sound like I'm lying, or a Tinder bio about how my hobbies include working out, but this is real for me. As I've gotten older, fitness has become a huge part of my life in a way where it clears my head and serves as therapy. Therapy is expensive anyways, skip it and go right to Pilates.
