Summer vacation is quickly approaching. The pandemic robbed many families of their annual getaways last year so this Summer parents will be making up for lost time!

The publication called Parents Magazine released a list of the 20 best vacations for kids nationwide and three Northern New England spots made the cut! Here they are and what makes them so kid friendly:

Sandy Pines Campground

Kennebunkport, Maine

Sandy Pines caters to the little humans in your life in so many ways; socially distanced craft sessions, games on the lawn, and S'mores by the fire pit just to name a few! According to Boston.com, Kids have the option to sleep in luxe family tents or they can choose to sleep in their own smaller tents if they are feeling independent.

Quisisana Resort

Center Lovell, Maine

Quisisana is magical place for children. They have a playground, game room, child-friendly meals, there is something for everyone! Quisisana is known for their unbelievable theater scene. In the past they have put on productions of Hairspray, The Fiddler on the Roof, Ragtime, the Drowsy Chaperone, and many more. On Wednesday mornings they perform musicals just for kids and onThursday evenings they present their Broadway revue! Exposing kids to the arts at a young age is so important and the Quisisana Resort is a great place to do it.

Smugglers Notch

Jefferson, Vermont

Smuggs made the list because of it's plethora of kid friendly activities ESPECIALLY if your kiddo is the adventure seeking type. They have zip-lining, disc golf, hiking and more! If you are dealing with less than ideal weather there is still plenty to keep everyone busy. They have an arcade with laser tag and tons of games! Also the "Ozone" has all of your favorites including foosball, air hockey, EVEN mini golf!
