Thug an intense show told through dance. Vivid Motion is pleased to present Thug - an original work by Scarborough resident Shea Murphy. It is a gritty tale of bullying and profiling, dealing with depression and loss, moral ambiguity, corrupted authority and lost innocence, all set to a diverse array of musical selections.

The story centers around a young man named Jacob and his tumultuous maturation from adolescence to adulthood, Nadia - a troubled tomboy, and Jillian - a young, impoverished, single mother. The challenges and emotional turmoil faced by Jacob, his family, and his friends are not unlike those some of us face every day — disappointment, rejection, jealousy, anger, depression.
