Major flooding is occurring in Carrabassett Valley and across the state after last night's record storm left more than 500,000 Mainers without power.

CMP is telling us now that they're not expecting to reconnect many customers until tomorrow, as their first and most important focus is on clearing roadways and downed line safety. Once they are able to move around and work safely, they can start reconnecting customers without power.
