WATCH: Inspiring Portland Teacher on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ [VIDEO]

Right here in Portland, Maine there is a woman so inspiring, Ellen had to have her on her show. Meet Ekhlas Ahmed - a Sudanese refugee and English teacher at Casco Bay High School. 

Ekhlas' story, as Ellen pointed out, makes you put things into perspective. I cried listening to the letter she wrote to Ellen. I cried again when Ellen paid off Ekhlas' student debt!
