Something's wrong with the Time and Temp sign in downtown Portland. For about two days it has stopped.

Now when I say stopped, it's still cycling through the time....

The problem is that the time and temperature aren't actually changing. It looks like whatever controls the display (Windows 98 maybe?) has locked up and it is continuously displaying the time as 10:35 and the temperature as 78 degrees.

I first noticed it coming in to work at 4:30 a.m. and seeing it say it was 10:35. That was on Wednesday morning, so it's been locked up like this for more than a day at this point.

Since the clock doesn't show AM and PM, we can only assume it was 10:35 p.m. and no one was around to fix it. Apparently there's still no one around to fix it as of this writing. The building was bought late last year for over $9 million and has lost a lot of tennants lately. Just looking at the buildings windows it looks pretty empty.  Maybe that's why? I'm too lazy to be an investigative reporter, so we'll just wait and see when it gets fixed.

So in the meantime, if you're looking up for the to the roof for the time and temp in Portland, it's lying to you for now. Although with the hot weather we have rolling in here for the next few days a temp of 78 seems really nice.
