White After Labor Day: Yes or No? [POLL]

I wore white pants to work today, forgetting that Monday was Labor Day. I've always thought that white after Labor Day was a big fashion faux pas, but is that really true?

According to this post on Digg, there are many reasons why white after Labor Day might be off limits. Seasonal considerations, social status, old-fashion fashionistas, and coal-burning furnaces... No one can seem to agree on if I'm allowed to wear these pants or not.

So what's a girl to do? Ask the audience. What do you think?
