Now that my girlfriend Michele and I own a house, we're starting to think about what we're going to do to decorate it for Christmas. The challenge is a tree that sits in the middle of front yard 20 to 30 feet tall that would be perfect to decorate.

In a perfect world, I'd own a bucket loader. But that's just not very cost effective and I imagine renting one or even hiring someone to do it isn't very cost effective either. When it comes to owning a new house, with new furniture and stuff like snowblowers and lawn mowers you need to buy, you're all about cost efficiency. But it looks like hanging Christmas lights on that tree isn't going to be cheap regardless.

I did some searching and found a telescoping hook on Amazon designed for hanging Christmas lights for $76.

It was a reach of 30 feet which should to the trick, but $76 isn't cheap and we haven't even bought any lights yet which will probably send the cost through the roof.

How do you hang your Christmas lights in tall trees? Let me know in the comments below or on Facebook.
