Q Morning Show

After The Q Morning Show ends on the air, we still have a lot of work to do. One of the first things we do after the show is record a promo telling you about things we have on the website for you to see, but Lori struggled to get her line out today.

Secret Santa of Portland asked The Q Morning Show to be his elves this year and help hand out a portion of $20,000 to unsuspecting people in the greater Portland area.

Lori and Jeff decided I needed to learn how to drive a stick. Jeff isn't impressed with the results but I think I'm amazing. We caught the whole thing on camera.

As we organize our 13th year of raising money for breast cancer awareness month, it got everybody at the Q thinking about how it all started, with thousands of bras...and 'Bras Across the Bridge' which had never been done before.

Today, all of us here at the Q and Townsquare Media in Portland said goodbye to our very own Meredith Manning after almost 20 years on Maine's #1 morning show.

I'm wrapping up my first week at the Q, and on Friday, the Q Morning Show was kind enough to leave me a bag of presents! See what they left me...

So Oxford Casino is really getting behind the Q's Cans for a Cure. Fighting breast cancer has been a cause near and dear to Oxford since they opened, and they've teamed up with us to make Cans for a Cure even bigger - and it started Saturday. And then...well...I had to gamble!

This happened just outside our studios on Sunday and Jeff and Lori were there to see it.

Jeff and Lori predicted they would come in last at Saturday's Maine State Clam Shucking Contest at the Yarmouth Clam Festival and they were right. But they had a great time celebrating their impressive finish. On the Q Morning Show today, Lori was in tears talking about a conversation she had with her plumber when he came by to fix a leak. Lori doesn't get moved to tears too often, but when she does you can be sure something touched her in a certain way to do it.

I've always wanted a time machine. It's almost 2015 and there's still no flux capacitor or flying cars, but we do have a new feature in Google Street View that will satisfy my time travelling desires for now.

This was a big week if you are a Star Wars fan like me. The cast of the Star Wars Episode VII was announced and even though it was no surprise. it was a pretty big deal.
