The ceremony this year was virtual, but cancer didn't stop because of a global pandemic...and more needs to be done.

The Lights of Hope event is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's signature fundraiser. They are dedicated to honoring those who have been touched by cancer and rememering those who were lost. 2020 was the 10th anniversary of the event.

Volunteers across the country brought Lights of Hope across America. They collected more than 40,000 bags with loved ones as part of the ceremony on September 12th.

Funds raised through Lights of hope help the ACS CAN continue to fight for those fighting cancer. They want to make sure that those down in Washington know that it's a priority to fight cancer.

Because cancer sucks and far too many of us have either been directly or indirectly affected by the devastating effects of cancer.

Your American Cancer Society of Maine is helping patients, caregivers, and survivors by providing free services including: Free cancer information and clinical trials matching service. Rides to treatment. Summer camps. Cancer support groups. Please help anyway you can.
