One of the biggest reasons that people love the Portland area so much is the many gorgeous beaches in the area. While the city of Portland itself doesn't have very many, there are so many different beaches in the surrounding towns that make up Greater Portland. I've been to quite a few of them, but there are still many more I have yet to check out. So what are the best beaches in the area? We can start by taking a look at the ones with the highest ratings on Google. The following beaches have a rating of 4.6 stars or more on Google:

Pine Point Beach, Scarborough - 4.8 stars

Popham Beach, Phippsburg - 4.8 stars

Long Sands Beach, York - 4.7 stars

Kettle Cove, Cape Elizabeth - 4.7 stars

Gooch's Beach, Kennebunk - 4.6 stars
