"You can't make this stuff up," said The Taste of Maine Restaurant on their Facebook page when they found this surprising item in the parking lot. It certainly creates lots of questions, with answers we can only speculate about.

The Taste of Maine Restaurant is located on Route 1 in Woolwich, just across the bridge from Bath. If you grew up in Maine, you'd know them from the commercials they ran for years, featuring an animated version of their sign where the fisherman comes to life and says, "The Taste of Maine Restaurant. Route One in Woolwich, just north of Bahhhhhth." It's done in a Maine accent by legendary Maine broadcaster and writer John McDonald, who sadly passed away in 2022.

They've probably never seen anything like this in The Taste of Maine's 40-plus-year history, but there it was in the parking lot: someone's bra.

How does something like this happen? Never mind. I don't think I want to know the answer.

Now here comes the interesting part of this story. Let's say you were in a restaurant parking lot and then you got home and realized you had lost your bra. There are only two scenarios where this happens. One is that the bra fell out of your bag after you spent a day at the beach and were still wearing your swimwear under your clothes. The other, I'm not going to get into the details about.

The other question on all our minds now is will the owner of the bra return to the restaurant to claim it? I'm guessing not.
