The Press Herald is reporting that the supermarket chain Market Basket is expanding their footprint here in Maine, with a new store planned in Westbrook.

The Massachusetts-based grocery chain opened its first Maine store in Biddeford in 2013, and the company said at the time that they wanted to expand into Vacationland even further. It looks like that's going to happen now.

The Press Herald reports that the supermarket is set to open as an anchor property in the new shopping plaza in Westbrook, and that Walmart is no longer a planned part of the project.
