According to CNN, Portland, Maine has the most breweries per capita. And you know what they say? The more the merrier!
This past week Portland welcomed the newest brewery to town, Belleflower Brewing located at 66 Cove Street in the former Brewery Extrava.
According to their website, locally sourced ingredients are among their top priorities, They plan to have weekly releases and in addition to offering beer, they will also be offering other local goods.
While Belleflower may be new to town the owners aren't new to the industry. One of the owners, Zach was the Director of Brewing Operations for Trillium and assisted in the expansion of Lone Pine.
Nick who is also a co-owner, was also involved with Trillium as Director of Development.
Zach and Nick are also joined in their endeavors by their wives, Melissa and Katie making the business a double family adventure.
