Get Ready to See Ice Sculptures Made Live at a Portland Winter Festival

So now that I have been here for almost two months and I'm settled in, I am excited about Carnaval ME, which is a bicentennial celebration of winter in Maine that takes place in Portland.

This city has so many events going on, that it has my senses on overload from both the food and liquor this beautiful city provides.

This event will be bringing in all of the sports mascots in Maine, live ice sculpture making, a giant bonfire ( tell me how that's going to work?), and fun for the entire family, especially if you like the cold!

It all takes place on the historic Eastern Promenade.

I even hear that there will be an igloo where you can check out some of Maine's best brews, which sounds wonderfully delicious.
