Last month, I wrote an article explaining my frustration with loud tire squealing noises across the town of Windham, as drivers wanted to make their mark on the roads by laying down rubber strips. After seeing a hilarious video yesterday, I may have had a change of heart. Maybe.

More and more roads in Windham have been covered with rubber strips as drivers try to make their pieces of "art" at the expense of having a set of four bald tires. It's not just Windham, but all across the state. People have even shut down roads for illegal street racing, which has police and residents concerned over safety issues.

That being said, there's a video making the rounds on social media, putting a humorous spin on things.

Joe Hegarty is a funny and creative television producer who has worked around Maine. He recently set up a camera in his car and took a tour of Windham, rating the rubber strips on the roads. He called this fabulous and informative video, "The Local Rubber Strip Review Report," and it seems like it's on the verge of going viral.

Ratings around Windham got as high as 9.2 and as low as "gross."

Joe, feel free to take a tour down Windham Center Road for your next episode. Some fine rubber stripes on this long, straight drag strip might be able to beat that 9.2 rating.
