I Took Jeff to Becky’s at 4am Because He’s Never Been

And no, he's not from 'away'...he's a Mainer and had never been to Becky's. What?

Well, that's just wrong. How can you live and work in Portland for 25 years and have never been to Becky's? I couldn't go another day knowing that. So got up nice and early and went there. They open at 4 am - for the lobstermen. It is the first time I have ever been to Becky's and been the only one in there!

It was cool to be the first ones there!

I was excited to see all the lobstermen! Nope. It's not really the season and for some reason they were sleeping in. But there were a handful of men who showed up before 5 am. Just random dudes, a tad on the older side...not a single woman.

Well, I was there. Me and Nancy our waitress, but beyond that...it appears only men who carry their pill dispenser are there at that time of day.

It doesn't matter - I had a grilled blueberry and Jeff had a ham a cheese omelette! The perfect way to start the day...except for that 3 am alarm. Thanks Becky's - another Mainer inducted!
