New Hampshire Facebook Group Rallies Around Richard to Help Fund His Date Night
I love being a member of the Facebook Group "New Hampshire Eats", because it is nothing but good vibes. It is a place where locals raise up small businesses and praise the best eateries in and around the Granite State. If anyone posts a complaint or a disparaging comment about a local business, it is promptly taken down. It is simply not the place for that. Save your negative comments for the YELP review.
Recently, I watched a story unfold in real time on this page, and it restored my faith in humanity. A member of the group named Richard posted, asking for suggestions of places he could take his significant other out in Concord for a date. He mentioned he didn't have a lot of disposable income at this time, and wanted to spend in the range of $25-30.
Tons of suggestions came pouring in, including Dos Amigos, Red Arrow Diner, etc. But what happened next was truly remarkable:
One by one, more and more people said they wanted to send Richard money to help fund his date night. I got tears in my eyes scrolling all of these comments.
IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT, IT GETS BETTER:
And then MORE New Hampshire restaurants came forward, offering to fund Richard's date night:
The moral of the story? The people of New Hampshire are absolutely amazing. If I ever move away to another state (which isn't in my plans, but you never know), I will miss the people most of all. They are best in class.
Richard won't be paying for date nights for a very long time.
