New Topsham, Maine, Spot With Award-Winning New York-Style Bagels Finally Opens

About four months after signing a lease for its new permanent home, Knead & Nosh has announced its grand opening date for Topsham, Maine.

The chance to have some fresh New York-style bagels from this venture is finally here.

The bagel place shared on Facebook that its first customers could come starting in August 2026.

When Does Knead & Nosh in Topsham, Maine, Open?

Knead & Nosh started as Jeff Mao's passion project in 2021, offering cooking and baking classes centered on dough-based foods, according to its website.

The award-winning bagels could be ordered online through a subscription service to pick up in Brunswick, Maine, or they could be found at some farmers' markets and pop-ups.

Now, Knead & Nosh has a brick-and-mortar spot in Topsham for your bagel fix, and its recent Facebook post revealed that the grand opening would be on August 1, 2026.

For now, it will be open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is a plan to add Mondays in the future.

The new location for Knead & Nosh can be found at 4 Bowdoin Mill Island in Topsham, Maine.

This is where the former Blueberries Cafe used to be, and it's right down the road from Sea Dog as well.

What Kind of Bagels Can You Get at Knead & Nosh in Topsham, Maine?

You can get hand-rolled, New York-style bagels at Knead & Nosh.

Its website lists some of the bagel types offered, including plain, everything, sesame, poppy seed, rosemary-sea salt, sea salt, cinnamon-raisin, jalapeno, and pumpernickel.

Additionally, the menu features sandwiches like a simple bacon, egg, and cheese called The 1794 and even some delicious bao.
