
A New Topsham, Maine, Bagel Spot Is Opening Soon, and It Has Award-Winning New York-Style Bagels
If you've been craving some warm, freshly baked bagels, there's a new spot coming to Topsham, Maine, that might pique your interest.
Knead and Knosh said in a Facebook post that it is hoping to open its bagel shop this summer 2026.
And did you know they serve New York-style bagels? Sign me up.
Where Is Knead and Nosh Opening in Topsham, Maine?
According to its website, Knead and Nosh began as a passion project for Jeff Mao in 2021, focused on cooking and baking classes with an emphasis on foods that use doughs.
As for the bagels, you could order them online through a subscription service to pick up in Brunswick, Maine, or find them at some farmers' markets and pop-ups.
Now there will be a permanent home in the former Blueberries cafe at 4 Bowdoin Mill Island, right down the road from Sea Dog, in Topsham.
When Is Knead and Nosh Opening in Topsham, Maine?
In a social media post, Knead and Nosh revealed not only had it signed a lease, but it is aiming for a June 2026 opening.
The bagel place did note that renovations need to take place, and there will likely be "new shop" things that have to be navigated, so that estimated timeframe could change.
What Kind of Bagels at Knead and Nosh in Topsham, Maine?
Get excited because Knead and Nosh offers hand-rolled, New York-style bagels.
On its website, some of the types of bagels offered include plain, everything, sesame, poppy seed, rosemary-sea salt, sea salt, cinnamon-raisin, jalapeno and pumpernickel.
It also looks like the menu will feature some "must-have" sandwiches like a simple bacon egg and cheese called The 1794.
Oh, and Knead and Nosh was even named Maine's best bagel in 2025. That's just one more positive when it comes to this future bagel spot.

So while we have to wait a little bit longer before the actual opening date, it's exciting knowing what's coming.
