Another regional manhunt is on the way for a convicted sex offender in Maine.

36-year-old Sean Batchelder failed to report to his probation officer on September 12th and was last seen in Augusta, according to WGME.

The Police Department believes he is also in the company of another man by the name of Stephen Peterson as the suspects have been on the run for the past week, the news station reported.

Batchelder is described as a 5 foot 9 eight 250 pound portly man with thinning hair, according to WGME.

There was a statewide search underway for both men, and they are believed to be in the Woods near Byron or Ragley, the news station stated.

Batchelder was released early from a 10-year prison sentence were, in 2012, he was given that time for the crime of gross sexual assault, according to WGME CBS 13.
