Maine’s Halloween Spirit Alive and Well With Poor Gretta-Lou
I love the Halloween season. I find the decorations to be so much fun. Heck, I put mine up in early September.
Now that we're getting closer to the actual holiday, people with more self-control than I are busting out the headstones, skeletons, and spiderwebs.
I was driving on Vannah Ave in Portland today and noticed one decoration in particular. A witch. I noticed there was a plaque set up next to the witch and I just couldn't help myself and had to pull over. I was not disappointed.
Meet Gretta-Lou.
How did she get into such a predicament? Here's the story of The Demise of Poor Greta:
The poor gal should have started with a slower model. Not everyone picks up a broom as easily as Harry Potter.
I can't wait to see more decorations pop up through Southern Maine. It's nice to see the fun and magic take place despite everything going on in the world. I think it's a nice touch of "normal" that everyone needs.
