The general manager of Moose Landing Marina in Naples is making some changes to the popular boat launch for safety reasons.

Jason Allen says there were 300 to 400 boats in Brandy Pond watching the fireworks, a number he's never seen before, according to WGME. He added in the article that he witnessed boats running with no navigational lights on and boats hitting each other.

Because of that, Allen has decided that it is "no longer safe to allow an unlimited number of boaters at his marina," according to the news station.

Now boaters will have to launch from the town landing in Naples, or they can buy a season pass for Moose Landing Marina for $300. Naples residents can still launch from Moose Landing, according to the article.

WGME reported that Jason sent a letter to the Town of Naples saying "The amount of intoxicated boaters coming off the lake is scary. We are no longer willing to take the risk to have these irresponsible boaters with us. Our boat ramp will no longer be open to the public."

Naples Town Manager John Hawley says he doesn't blame them as the amount of drinking boaters out on the lakes has become a problem, according to the news station.
