My First Time Hearing Dave Matthews Band – Win Tickets To The Bangor Show

Dave Matthews Band has come a long way since the first time I hear them. I remember it very well. It was 1994 and I was working for a now defunct Top 40 station when a new single from some group called the Dave Matthews Band came in the mail.

Radio stations would get TONS of CD's sent to them from record labels in hopes that the station would "add their record." If you got a new song from a  well known and established group you would always give it a listen. Aside from that you'd also get a lot of not so good stuff.

This one showed up one day.

I won't lie. I listened to it just because I thought the cover was cool looking. Good thing they had a cool cover, because it was amazing! 'What Would You Say' went on to become a top 10 hit for Dave Matthews and launched a long and incredible career.

Now DMB is coming to Maine to perform for the first time here in almost 20 years! They'll be a the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion on June 6th and tickets go on sale Friday, February 7th.
