YES! MORE PIZZA CHOICES! There can never be enough pizza shops in one city if you ask me. If you ask the owners of Truckin' Pizza, they'd say the same thing as they just announced their new adventure. According to truckinpizza's social media, Jessica & Brandon Tenney who are the owners of the already popular pizza truck are excited to take over the empty space that was once Slab Sicilian Street Food on Preble St.

What is the name of the new pizza restaurant in Portland, Maine?

ZA Pizza will soon be opening in Portland but with a very family oriented approach to pizza. With Offtrack Pizza just around the corner, locals can now grab a quick late night slice or decide to dine in to ZA where it sounds like their unique dough is the main attraction. Here's what they wrote on their socials:

"At ZA, the couple brings their expertise and passion to life by making everything from scratch—especially their dough. Drawing on Brandon’s Chef’s approach to pizza, they use only the highest-quality, locally sourced ingredients and prepare each pizza with care. The dough is the heart of their pizza, carefully crafted with long, cold fermentation and high hydration to achieve a crisp, Neapolitan-inspired crust with a pronounced rim, capable of holding a plank of toppings". -Truckinpizza

Can I just say reading the phrase "a plank of toppings" is hilariously mouth-watering and I couldn't be anymore excited.

Remember when Barstool Sport's Dave Portnoy came to Portland Maine to do some pizza reviews and oddly chose Slab as one of them? He hated it and ranked it a 6.6 (which honestly isn't too bad), but he hates deep dish pizza so we were all confused.

While Slab's whole niche was deep dish pizza, if Dave came back to Maine to review ZA, they'd probably have a better chance at winning the scoreboard back. If you missed that episode, here you go:
