NH Liquor Stores Are Trying to Attract Mainers With an 11% Discount

According to MassLive.com, the New Hampshire liquor and wine outlets are offering double each neighboring state's tax rate as a discount on their products.

The "No Taxation on Our Libations" sale works out to a 13 percent discount for Massachusetts customers, a 12 percent discount for Vermonters, and Mainers get an 11 percent discount, double each state's sales tax rate. New Hampshire residents get the best deal of them all, with a 13 percent discount.

The sale runs now though Labor Day.
