New Jersey/New York are the goat states of bagel world. Before you start getting angry at this post and head to the comments to disagree with me, you should know I'm from New Jersey originally so my bagel opinion is allowed.

Forage Market Portland, Maine

The first time I ever walked into this place about 5 years ago, I had low expectations for no reason other than believing Maine could never do a bread circle the way New Jersey does.

Now, in the last 5 years I've spent almost every weekend ordering an everything bagel, toasted with cream cheese and people watching in their dining hall.

Forage market does the bagel scene right and I'm willing to say they've got the best ones in the state.

Best bagels in Portland, Maine

Obviously I'm sticking to Forage Market as my number one bagel go-to stop, but I do have to admit that there's a few others I'd also dabble with.

Rose Foods Portland

This little red shop off Forest Ave in Portland is absolutely delicious. It's right off a main road so keep your eyes peeled for this:

The line is always so long on the weekends I can't tell a lie, but it's always worth the wait. I mean LOOK at this beaut!

Mister Bagel Congress St. Portland

Hear me out on this one since you're probably thinking it's just a chain and everybody knows Mister Bagel. The location on Congress St. in Portland is just different and I can't explain it. IYKYK.

There's only 2 people that work there consistently and one is the owner which makes me love them even more.

Both employees are so passionate about what they do for a living I swear that you can taste the difference in the bagels they make. I'm standing by this and I know if you've read this far, you're probably agreeing with me too.

If anyone has any bagel suggestions that I need to try out, please send me a DM on Instagram (@krissytradio).  I'm a very serious bagel consumer guys.
