Peek Inside Sierra, One of The Newest Chain Retailers in Maine

Welcome Sierra

What was once an A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts store, and then a Spirit Halloween is now Sierra. If you have no idea what Sierra even is, you’re not alone! I had no idea either.

Sierra opened shortly before Christmas next to Famous Footwear and across from Target in South Portland. A quick Google search revealed to my surprise that it’s under the TJMaxx umbrella along with other favorites; Marshalls and Home Goods. Only Sierra has a focus on the outdoors.

Today I ventured into Sierra to see what they were all about. The best way I can describe it is if TJMaxx and Dick’s Sporting Goods had a baby. There are a ton of clothes and shoes as well as basic camping gear, home goods, and various items to help shoppers take advantage of the outdoors.
