This Portland, Maine, Pizzeria Had Unfair Disadvantage As Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Reviewed It
There will never be a time where I won't love writing about Barstool's Dave Portnoy. He's the self-proclaimed pizza god and we all just go with it. Hilarious.
It was also hilarious when this man decided to take a little trek to Portland, Maine for his infamous One Bite Reviews & I almost lost it when I saw on the gram that he reviewed my favorite za place.
If you missed it, watch Portnoy review Slab before continuing this article, it'll be worth it.

No, they're no longer open and yes I cried the first few times I tried to go with my friends before we forgot their doors were permanently locked. I mean just look:
A 6.6 out of 10 score Dave? Just because Slab was my favorite pizza place doesn't mean it was Portnoy's though and I believe that reviewing it was a set-up. Here's why.
What kind of pizza does Barstool's Dave Portnoy Like?
Right off the bat, anybody who watches One Bite Reviews on Youtube knows that Slab was not going to be received well by Dave.
I mean he literally says in all of his videos that he likes the under carriage to be crispy and thin which makes me wonder why he'd ever even try Slab to begin with. The exact opposite of that is what made Slab so great. One slice was huge, square, chewy and deep-dish style.
Who set him them up to fail? Luckily (and also not so luckily), Slab has since closed their doors to be replaced by a new pizzeria called Za.
