Cans for a Cure is a gigantic bottle drive to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Community Center. The CCC offers support, education and a safe place for those dealing with cancer along with their family and friends. And all services are 100% free! Including their wig program run by Debbie Porter...a breast cancer survivor.
Part of why we do Cans for a Cure is to make sure women do their self breast exams and get their mammograms. My mom didn't get a mammogram because she was scared. Are you scared? Meredith and I want to help...
