Icy conditions Friday morning caused a traffic headache for many, including numerous vehicle crashes in both Maine and New Hampshire.

According to WGME, a tractor-trailer had jackknifed in Gray, Maine, around 5:15 a.m., causing the Maine Turnpike to close the southbound lanes at the time.

The Maine State Police later stated in a Facebook post around 8:30 a.m. of another tractor-trailer that had gone off the road near Lewiston/Auburn, Maine.

Unfortunately, news of another tractor-trailer rolling over happened in Madbury, New Hampshire, according to WMUR. And that was around 6:30 a.m.

WMTW reported of an ambulance, on its way to another crash, slid off the road and hit a pole in Farmington, Maine, around 9 a.m.

Then there was the New Hampshire Department of Transportation plow that overturned in Bedford, New Hampshire, WMUR also stated. The news station mentioned that the plow had landed on its side in the middle of the road.

And that was only a few of the crashes that took place on Friday, as the icy conditions continued to plague parts of the two New England states.

Because of that, many police outlets warned people of being careful on the roads.

Luckily, it seems that temperatures are rising about freezing, according to the National Weather Service in Gray, and that the rain and freezing rain will lessen, hopefully leading to better road conditions.

Either way, be careful on the roads today! Drive safe.
