Uncle Nicky’s Carinvore City Tenderloin Recipe
Uncle Nicky enjoys his meat. He really loves it on his birthday....so here is the recipe he loves for tenderloin.
Uncle Nicky is a good greek. The most vegetarian he goes is lamb. For his 77th birthday he had some of Aunt Barb's family over and they made a beef tenderloin...but only after he 'did his magic' to it.
Here is Uncle Nicky's magic recipe:
UNCLE NICKY'S CARNIVORE CITY BEEF TENDERLOIN
For 4-6 people
INGREDIENTS:
- beef tenderloin
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- oregano
- lemon pepper
- olive oil
Turn oven to 450. Get a heafty roasting pan and massage olive oil allll over your tenderloin (I don't know how big, but for 9 people, it was probably a good sized tenderloin. 6-9 pounds I'm thinkng)
Then take a tablespoon of oregano and crush it in between your fingers as you sprinkle over the tenderloin. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, lemon pepper all over it. Be generous. I'm thinking at least a teaspoon of each sprinkled over the entire tenderloin.
Put in the over for about 50 minutes. Ovens vary, and this is for medium rare - don't know how you like your tenderloin.
You'll notice there is no salt. He says you can add it later. Actually, oregano, onion and garlic powder and lemon pepper, Greeks pretty much put on every meat...every meat is amazing with the 'magic'.
Here is Uncle Nicky after...
Thank you to everyone who sent Uncle Nicky a birthday card - he is truly going to have the best birthday ever!!
