Anania's has always been a land mark for so many people for just exactly what it is; an easy, predictable convenient store close to the city.

A place where if I was feeling like a nawty biscawty and have a candy craving I'd run into and check out their selection.

Turns out, the building where Anania's once was on Congress St. in Portland, will now be a different type of landmark. A more.. Vietnamese type of land mark, yum.

What is replacing the Portland Anania's on Congress St?

Phoever Maine Vietnamese Bar & Grill has just entered the chat. Moving from their Westbrook location into Anania's old spot will be a game changer for business.

Portland is full of people working all day looking to pick up some lunch or dinner on the way home.

Where is Phoever Maine moving to?

According to their website, The Huynh family has just purchased the 4,000 sq ft building and has high hopes of being open by the summer time.

I always love to support a business with a good family story behind it, so to say I'm excited would be an understatement.

"Our philosophy on food is to serve you what we would serve our family only. We try to use the best ingredients and local ingredients as much as possible.  We hope you enjoy our food but also appreciate the story and the history that comes with it"- The Huynh Family.
