So far there have been 12 deaths in 10 states due to the lung illness from vaping and now the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention report there are four more cases of lung illness related to e-cigarette products in the state according to the Associated Press.

This epidemic may just be getting started with reports of more than 800 hospitalizations to the lung illness as of late September.

The AP reports Governor Janet Mills has told the Maine CDC to work with the attorney general's office to step up compliance checks on purchases of e-cigarettes at shops that sell the products to make sure they aren't being sold to underage people.

According to the Associated Press a bill will soon be introduced to ban the sale of vaping products in the state because of the growing safety concerns.
