After Closing for Maintenance, Angelo’s Pizza in Lisbon, Maine, Decides to Closes Permanently
When I lived in Lisbon, Maine, in the mid 2000s, Angelo's Pizza was my go-to pizza place in town. The owners were super nice, the pizza was amazing, and at one point, they even had a small arcade in the back with a couple of pinball machines. Pizza and pinball make me a very happy guy.
My son still lives in Lisbon with his mother, and I pick him up every weekend to get in his hours on his driving permit and to go play at our weekly pinball league meet. When we drove past Angelo's, it was dark, so I asked him what happened. He told me they closed for some renovations.
Three months later, they were still closed, and had cleared their message board of all the letters. Then the big announcement came the next day.

This isn't quite the blow for Lisbon that the closure of Graziano's Casa Mia restaurant in 2012 after 43 years in business. The site of the restaurant was turned into Graziano's Park, in honor of the family restaurant.
Grazi To Go has filled the void left by the original restaurant. It's run by Mary Graziano Richard, who keeps the legacy of Grazianno's alive with her family's recipes in hand, recreating the dishes everyone loved at the restaurant.
