The picture below is from the Norway Maine 1950-1970 Facebook page which has shared hundreds of pictures of the Oxford Hills from as far back as the early 1900's.
This photo is taken and the corner of Nichol Street and Western Avenue near the railroad crossing for the former Grand Trunk Railroad. I would often ride my bike down to the crossing and watch as train crews would switch car at the old Paris Manufacturing factory. The area looks a lot different today as the factory is gone as are many of the trees that show up in the old photo. The home in the photo still stands though.
